It would take an hour for plane A to meet plane B which is flying towards it. If the distance between them will be 200 miles after 45 minutes, how far apart are they now?

Let
v1 = the speed of plane A
v2 = the speed of plane B
v1 + v2 = x the sum of the speeds
Since distance = speed*time we have:
(45/60)(v1 + v2) + 200 = 1*(v1 + v2)
(3/4)*x + 200 = x
