2L + 2W = 97
W = 2 + L/2 \\ replace W by 2 + L/2 in first equation
2L + 2(2 + L/2) = 97
2L + 4 + L = 97
3L = 93
L = 31
W = 2 + 31/2 = 35/2 = 17.5
The dimensions of the pool are 17.5 m by 31 m
