Hooke’s law ,the distance D when a spring is threats by hanging objects varies directly as the weight W of the object, if the distance is 30 cm when the weight is 3 kg was the distance when the weight is 5 kg

According to Hooke's law, we assume the equation is D = kW, k is constant.
When D = 30 cm, W = 3 kg, k = D/W = 30/3 = 10
So D = 10W
When W = 5kg, D = 10*5 = 50 cm
So the distance is 50 cm when the weight is 5 kg
