1 dozen eggs - $ 2.03, Kleenex - 2.46, and salad dressing - 3.07. Her mother collects change in a jar to use for quick trip to the store. If the jar contained these coins, 67 dimes, 153 pennies, 124 nickels, and 81 quarters, how much money will she return how with?

amount to be paid  = 2.74 + 1.78+ 2.03 + 2.46 + 3.07 = $12.08

amount she had = 67*.1 + 153*.01 + 124*.05 + 81*.25

= $6.70 + $1.53 + $6.20 + $20.25 = $34.68

 

she will return with  $34.68 - $12.08 = $22.60
