so the base of triangle is (x + 8)
the area = 1/2 * heigth * base
24 = 1/2 * x * *(x + 8)
48 = x2 + 8x
x2 + 8x - 48 = 0
x= -12 or x = 4
heigth of triangle must >0
so heigth of triangle is 4cm
base of triangle is 12cm
