Problema Solution
A phone company offers customers a choice of several monthly plans. Two of the simplest are plan A and plan B. Plan A has no monthly fee and charges 30 cents per minute. Plan B has a $10 monthly fee and charges 10 cents per minute. If you use your phone for 300 minutes per month, how much would your monthly costs be if you choose plan A? If plan B?

use the equations from before:
plan A: c=.30m
plan B: c=10+.10m
if you have 300 minutes, substitute 300 for m
plan A: c=.30(300) = $90
plan B: c = 10+.10(300) = 10 + 30 = $40
So plan B is much cheaper for the amount of minutes used!
