This is an apart-distance question, we need to know the speed of two trains and the distance of them after time of t.
We assume the two speed of two train is v1 and v2, the distance of them after time of t is D.
So we have the equation
D = v1*t + v2*t
So
t = D/(v1+v2)
So if v1, v2 and D are given in the problem, we could calculate the time. t = D/(v1+v2) hour
