Let its length be l yards
Now acc to question:
l = w+4
Also, area = l*w = (w+4)*w = 480
=> w^2 + 4w -480 = 0
=> w^2 + 24w - 20 w -480 = 0
=> (w+24)(w-20) = 0
=> w=20 as w=-24 not possible.
So the length, l = w+4 = 24.
Sp length is 24 yards and width is 20 yards.
