Problema Solution

Find the vertical asymptotes, if any, for the following function. Please show all of your work.

f(x) = -x/x^2+7x-30

Answer provided by our tutors

f(x) = -x/x^2+7x-30 = -x/(x+10)(x-3)

When x is close to -10 and 3, f(x) will be infinite

So the vertical asymptotes are x = -10 and x=3
