jack usually mows his lawn in 3 hours. marilyn can mow the same yard in 6 hours. how much time would it take for them to mow the lawn together?

Time required by Jack to mows is 3 hours
so in 1 hour he wil finish 1/3
in same way Marilyn will do 1/6 in 1 hour
So if both of them combine then in 1 hour work down is 1/3+1/6
= 2/6+1/6 = 3/6
=1/2
So in 1 hour they will togather finish 1/2 work
so 1/2 work in 1 hour
so 1 work in 2*1 = 2 hours.
