The bob of a simple pendulum of length 0.75m swings freely from rest through an arc length of 15cm. Find the total angle it swings in degrees.

arc length = 0.15 metres
the pendulum length serves as the radius of the circle the pendulum can project
so the circumference= 2* 22/7 *0.75
=4.714 metres
now the crcum ference subtends an angle of 360 degrees
as 4.714 metre subtends an agle of 360 degrees so an arc length of .15 metres ca subtend an angle of = 360/4.714 *(.15)
= 11.4552 degrees
