Problema Solution

A baseball league has 4 teams, the Bats, the Diamonds, the flies, the Goose Eggs. If every team plays each of the other teams 2 times, how many games must be scheduled? Now the league has added two new teams, the Hop Toads and the inchworms. Again the teams will play each other 2 times. How many games need to be sceduled? Now, give a general answer to the question. If there were n teams in the league, how many games would be played?

 if there are 4 teams, how must we schedule the games??

this is the formula to solve this problem

z(games)=2x(n(teams)!(factorial)/(r(teams againts)!x(n-r)!)

n= 4 teams

r= 2 teams ( examples : a Vs b , there are two teams playing)

z= 2(4!/((2!)(4-2)!))

z=12 games

if there are 6 teams, so

z=2(6!/((2!)(6-2)!))

z=180 games

if there are n teams,and play 2 times, so

z= 2(n!/((2!)(n-2)!)) games
