If the perimeter of triangle ABC = 58 m, and BC = 10 m, what is the length of AC?

if the triangle is isosceles then 2 sides are the same
P = S1 + S2 + S3
but S2 = S3
so
P = S1 + 2S2
58 = 10 + 2S2
48 = 2S2
48/2 = S2
24 = S2
so the length of AC and AB are both 24 m
