A triangle has a perimeter of 53in. The shortest side of the triangle is two more than one-third of the longest side. The other is 5 less than the longest side. Find the dimensions.

Let longest side = x
Smallest side = 2 + (x/3)
other side = (x-5)
Perimeter => x + 2 + (x/3) + (x - 5) = 53
= >2x - 3 + x/3 = 53
=>(7x/3) - 3 = 53
=> 7x/3 = 53 + 3 = 56
=> 7x = 56 * 3 = 168
=> x = 168/7 = 24
Longest side = 24
smallest side = 2+ (24/3)=10
other side = 24-5 = 19
