Problema Solution

Suppose there is a 2-degree drop in temperature every thousnad feet that an airplane climbs into the sky. If the temperature on the ground, which is at sea level, is 53 degrees, what would be the temperature when the plane reaches an altitude of 20,000 feet?

Answer provided by our tutors

Since there is a 2-degree drop for each thousand feet, 20000 would get 2*20=40 degree drop

Since at sea level the temperature is 53,at 20000 feet we have

53-40=13  degrees

Result: 13 degrees
