Perimeter of a sign. The perimeter of a rectangular signs is not to exceed 50 ft. The length is to be twice the width. What widths will meet these conditions?

Let the width be = x ft.
SO length = 2x ft.
So perimeter = 2(x+2x)= 6x ft.
so 6x < 50
or x< 50/6
or x< 8.33 ft.
So the width should be less than 50/3 ft or 8.33 ft.
