Answer provided by our tutors
note that (2,4,6,8,10,...) is set of all even Natural numbers.
- the sum of any two members of the set is a member of the set: correct clause. Because sum of two even integers is even.
- the product of any two members of the set is a member of the set: correct clause. Because product of two even integers is even.
- the quotient of any two members of the set is a member of the set: incorrect clause. For example: 10/2 = 5 is a odd. 5 is not a member of the set.
