Problema Solution
Gabe needs 30 liters of a 60% acid solution. He currently has a 40% acid solution and a 70% acid solution. How many liters of each does he need to make the needed 30 liters of 60% acid solution.
Answer provided by our tutors
Let 40% acid solution amount = x litre
70% acid solution amount = y litre
x + y = 30
40x + 70y = 60*30
40x + 70*30 - 70x = 1800
30x = 300
x = 10 litre
y = 20 litre.
