Total = Tickets*Individual Cost
We have two sorts of tickets with different costs, so they'll both have to appear.
We know that the toal earned was 1150, so plug that in:
1150 = tickts*cost
Adult tickets sold: let that = x. Since they're $2 each, the total made off them is 2x (two dollars times the number)
1150 = 2x + (kids tickets*cost of them)
Child's ticket is $1. How many were sold? 925 - x (total minus adult tickets sold)
1(925-x), but we can eliminate the 1.
So, 1150 = 2x + 925 - x
SOlve for X
1150 = x + 925
225 = x
Check it.
1150 = 2(225) + 925-225
1150 = 450 + 700
