Abel & Ben, working together can accomplish the task in 6 hrs and 40 min. After working with Ben for 3 hours, Abel became ill & Ben was left to finish job which he did in 8 hours & 15 min. How long would it take each working alone to do the job?

So
1/x + 1/y = 3/20
3*3/20 + (33/4)/y = 1
So
x = 12
y = 15
So
The time taken Abel alone is 12hrs and Ben is 15 hrs
