A long distance trucker traveled 88 miles in one direction during a snow storm. The return trip in rainy weather was accomplished at double the speed and took 2 hours less time. Find the speed going.

(2v)(t-2) =88
=> vt = 2v(t-2)
<=> t = 2t-4
<=> t = 4 (hours)
Therefore, v = 88/t = 88/4 = 22 (miles/hour)
