Problema Solution

in triangle abc the size of angle b is 3 times the size of angle a and the size of angle c is 2 less than 6 times the size of angle a find the size of the angles what is the size of angle a simplify the answer type interger or a decimal

With this question first identity the common angle which is related to the others by the facts given in the question.

In this case it is angle A

Now set up equations, so

B = 3A

I'm assuming that you mean C is 15 less (not 15 times less), so

C = 6A - 15

now the angles of a triangle equate to 180 degrees

so A+B+C = 180

now sub in respectively unknowns from above

=> A + 3A + 6A - 2 = 180

=> 10A = 182

A = 18.2 degrees

now sub that back into your original equations and you should get B = 54.6 degrees, and C = 107.2 degrees
