Problema Solution

if two sides of a triangle are 12 and 23, and the angle between them is 48 degrees, what is the measure of the angles opposite to each sides?

Answer provided by our tutors

Let the other side be x.

We know by sine rule that

a/sin(A) = b/sin(B) = c/sin(C)

12/sin(A) = 23/sin(B) = x/sin(48)

12/sin(A) = 23/sin(B)

12/sin(A) = 23/sin(180-43-A)

12/sin(A) = 23/sin(137-A)

We get A = 30

So B = 107
