Only 60% of the voters in a certain constituency of 40,000 cast their votes. Of the votes cast, A received 53%, B received 27% and C the remainder. How many votes did C receive,assumin that no votes are spoiled?

0.6x = 40000
x = 66666.67
C recieved 1 - ( 0.27 + 0.53 ) of x
0.2x = 13333.34
Note that the percentages were changed to decimals and vice-versa.
