Total amount Paid = $ 173.75
Now Total amount paid = Base Fee + Total miles Driven * 0.98 That is 173.75So total amount paid will be : 14.99 + Total mile driven (x) * 0.98( where x is total mile driven)
From the given data : 173.75 = 14.99 + x *0.98
So x = (173.75 -14.99)/ 0.98
x = 158.76/0.98
