Problema Solution
Two trains 500 miles apart on same track heading toward each other. Passenger train is traveling 80 mph and freight train is traveling at 40 mph. They are warned 1 minute before they collide. How far apart were they when they were warned?

as the distance covered by passenger in 1 minute= 80/60=4/3 miles
and distance covered by freigh train in 1 min=40/60=2/3
as after 1 min it will collide
hence , distance between them must be =2/3+4/3=6/3=2 miles-------Ans
