Show the algebraic inequality. Two cell phone companies are advertising rates. Company A charges a rate of $20 per month plus $ 0.05 per minute. Company B charges a rate of $10 per month plus $0.10 per minute. What is the number of minutes used above which Company A costs more than Company B?

Let one use the cell phones of both the companies with x mins each.
Then for company A, the total costs will be $[20+(0.05x)].
Similarly, for company B, the total costs will be $[10+(0.1x)].
We have to find an inequality such that the cost for company A will be more than that of company B.
Thus,
20+0.05x<=10+0.1x
Or, 0.05x >= 10.
Solving the inequality, we have x > = 20.
Therefore, if one use company A more than 20 mins then the cost will be more than company B.
