then then plan A costs her 120 + (X-120)*.3

and plant B costs 180 + (X-180)*.25

The "break even" point is when

120 + (X-120)*.3 = 180 + (X-180)*.25

start by mutiplying everything out

120 + .3X - 36 = 180 + .25X - 45

do a little math on both sids

84 + .3X = 135 + .25X

group like terms on each side
