Area of the table = 30 in * 40 in = 1200 sq. inches
Area of each tile = 3 in * 6 in = 18 sq. inches
Number of tiles required to cover the table top = 1200 / 18 = 66.6667
Since the number of tiles is not an integer, we can conclude that some of the tiles will have to be cut up to cover the table top.
