An experienced accountant can balance the books twice as fast as a new accountant. Working together it takes the accountants 10 hours. How long would it take the experienced accountant working alone?

The experienced accountant does twice as much work in the same time as the new accountant. So the experienced accountant balances 2/3 of the books in 10 hours. So to balance all the books it would take him (10 hours)/(2/3) = 15 hours.
