In a competitive eating competition, two of the competitors can eat a total of 540 chicken wings in 6 hours.

Eating on his own, competitor A would take 18 hours longer than Competitor B to eat the 540 chicken wings.

In one  hour B can eat 540/x of wings.

In one hour A can eat 540/(1/18+x) of wings.

In one hour both can eat 540/6

540/x+540/(18+x)=540/6.

1/x+1/(18+x)=1/6.

(18+x+x)/(x(18+x)=1/6.

(18+2x)/(x^2+18x)=1/6.

x^2+18x=6(18+2x)=

x^2+18x-12x-108=0.

x^2+6x-108=0.

By solving quadartic we have t=7.82Hours.
