Actually x = 0 is not solution for 1 + 4/x-2 = 4/x^2-4 but x = 0 is the solution for 1 + 4/(x-2) = 4/(x^2-4).

1 + 4/(0 - 2) = 4/(0^2 - 4)
-1 = -1
