This problem statement is essentially identical to the earlier submission, so please do not effectively submit the same question. This answer simply changes 'birch' to 'oaks' and 'pines' to 'maples'... that's a pretty ridiculous change.
Let 'x' represent the number of oaks, then '2x+4' represents the number of oaks and 'x+50' represents the number of maples.
874=x+(2x+4)+(x+50)

2*205+4=414
205+50 = 255
So there are 414 aspens, 205 oaks and 255 maples.
