Two parallel streets are 20 meters apart and are crossed by two others which are not parallel. If the block is 15 meters long on one side and 12 meters on the other , what is its area?

a = 15 m
b = 12 m
A = the area
A = (h/2)(a + b)
A = (10/2)(12 + 15)
A = 135 m^2
The area is 135 square meters.
