wet world has an 18-foot long water slide. the angle of elevation of the slide ( the angle it forms with a horizontal line ) is 50C. at the end of the slide , there is a 6 foot drop into a pool. after you climb the ladder to the top of the slides , how many feet above the water level are you ? Draw a diagram.

We need to find x + 6.
sin(50) = x/18
x = 18*sin(50)
x = 13.79 ft
x + 6 = 13.79 + 6 = 19.79 ft
You are 19.79 feet above the water.
