Grading: Your grade for this course will be the average of three unit grades, each carrying a maximum of 100 points. In each unit the breakdown of the 100 points is:
Quiz Average | 10 points | Project | 10 points |
Lab | 5 points | Test | 75 points |
Note that there are labs every day or nearly every day. They are done in groups during class time and cannot be made up. Quizzes are done in class and cannot be made up. If you are absent, you receive a zero for that day ’s lab and/or quiz. However, one lab grade per unit and one quiz grade per unit will be dropped. The homework assignments can be found in your supplemental material package. You are expected to complete each assignment after the corresponding section has been covered in class, and BEFORE the next lecture. Most quiz questions come directly from the list of homework questions, so you should try to keep up. Homework is not collected.
