pre-algebra for dummies

Hey guys! Guess what, I was down with fever last week, and have missed a few classes because of that. Now that our mid-semester are due next week I really need some help in topics like pre-algebra for dummies and some other topics like rational expressions, conversion of units and binomials. I was thinking on hiring some private tutor but then my pocket money won’t allow me to do so. I really need some immediate help in those topics, else I might perform really badly in my final exams. Can anyone give some advice? I need some help, and I need it FAST!

Thanks for the detailed instructions, this seems great . I wished for something just like Algebrator, because I don't want a software which only solves the exercise and shows the final result, I want something that can really show me how the exercise needs to be solved. That way I can learn it and next time solve it without any help , not just copy the answers . Where can I find the program ?
