Please actually type in a problem when submitting it.  The word problem statement contains an enormous amount of errors and it would appear that the statement should read something like this:

A hardware store mixes paints in a ratio of two parts blue
to six parts red to make two gallons of cabbage red.
A ratio of seven parts blue to one part red makes two
gallons of eggplant purple.
A gallon of cabbage red sells for $29, and a gallon
of eggplant purple sells for $24.
Find the cost of 1 quart of blue paint and the cost
of 1 quart of red paint.  

2 gallons are 4 quarts, hence the price of 1 gallon can be represented as the price of a quart by dividing by 4

1 quart of cabbage red: 29/4

1 quart of eggplant purple: 24/4

let 'b' represent blue and 'r' represent red, then the cost based on the ratios can be expressed in these two equations:

2b+6r=29/4

7b+1r=24/4
