a man can do a job in 6 days, but it takes another man 9 days to do the same job. how long would it take both men working together to do the job?

Let 'x' represent the number of hours needed to finish the job when both men are working.

1/x = is the together rate of the men per day

1/6 = the rate of the fist man per day

1/9 = the rate of the second man per day

1/6 + 1/9 = 1/x
