pam is twice as old as len was when pam was as old as len is now but len is just half as old as pam will be when len is three years older than pam is now so how old is len

P=2*(L-(P-L))
1/2(P-L+3+P) = L
P+3/2 = 3/2L
P = 4/3L
so
3/2=1/6L
L=9
