a. Write a model that gives the probability that the coin will land in the small rectangle.

b. Evaluate the model when x = 10.

Dimensions of the large rectangle is length=4x-4, width=3x

dimensions of the small rectangle is length=x+2, width=x

When X = 10, probability = 11%

Probability = (10+2)(10)/(40-4)(30)

= (12)(10)/(36)(30)

=120/1080

=0.111

= 11 %
