In an 8 inch square cake pan and a 10 inch square cake pan, what is the differenc in volume each pan will hold. Assume each pan is 2 inches high.

Solution:

The volume of  8 inch square cake pan = 8*8*2 = 128 cubic inches

The volume of  10 inch square cake pan = 10*10*2 = 200 cubic inches

The differemce = 200-128 = 72 cubic inches
