a 26cm-wide strip of steel is to have its edges bent uo at right angles to form an open trough. The cross-sectional area is to be 80cm^2. Disregarding the thickness of the steel sheet, find the depth and the width of the trough
(depth being the height)

The depth: x
The width of trough : 26-2x
So the cross-sectional area = x*(26-2x) =80
So we solve it x = 5 or x = 8
So the depth: 5 cm and the width: 16 cm
Or the depth: 8 cm and the width: 10 cm
