Answer provided by our tutors

the built in water line with in take 12 hrs to fill the pool thus it has rate is 1/12 pools per hour

let x = the hours that the auxiliary hose needs to feel the pool alone

1/x pools per hour the rate of the auxiliary hose

since the managers needs the pool to be field in 8 hours this means that the together time of the water line and the hose is 8 hours thus the together rate is 1/8 polls per hour

1/12 + 1/x = 1/8

by solving we find

x = 24 hr
