If a#b and 1/x + 1/a = 1/b,then x=_____
I was lookin for the logic behind this equation or and explaination as to how I solve for x. I do have the answer ab/a-b, just looking for the logic. Thanks Whitley.

1/x + 1/a = 1/b
1/x = 1/b - 1/a
1/x = a/ab - b/ab
1/x = (a - b)/ab
Take reciprocal of both.
x = ab/(a - b)
