Cost for first ounce = 0.37
Cost for each additional ounce = 0.23
Therefore, total cost is give as
C= 0.37 + 0.23(x-1)
=> C = 0.37 + 0.23x - 0.23
=> C = 0.14 + 0.23x
Therefore, cost for 10 ounces
=> C = 0.14 + 0.23*10 = 0.14 + 2.3 = $2.44
