Her parents will double whatever money he makes helping a friend who will pa him &8.25 for his time.He works 4 hrs the 1st wk,5 the 2nd,3 the 3rd,6 the 4th,5 the 5th,and 7 hours the 6th wk. Write an equation that shows whether or not he will have enough money for his trip.

Amount Jack has = $25
Amount jack needs = $500
Amount his friend will pay for each hour = $8.25
Amount he will have after x hours of work = 25+8.25x
His parents will double the amount so he will finally have
Amount after doubling = 2*(25+8.25x)= 50 + 16.5x
This amount should be more than 500. So, we get
50+16.5x>= 500
=> x >= (500-50)/(16.5)
=> x >= 27.3 hours
Number of hours jack worked = 4+5+3+6+5+7 = 30 hours
=> he will have enough money for his trip
