Imagine that the cube provides, edges associated with length x.

Then a part of every face (side) will be x 2 . You will find 6 faces, therefore the total surface will be 6x 2 . The quantity with the cube is actually x 3 .

Thus 6x 2 = x 3

DIviding either side through x 2 provides x = 6.
