Problema Solution
A cylinder has a volume of 250cm3. The radius will be tripled. What will the volume be of the new cylinder?
Answer provided by our tutors
The volume of the cylinder = S(base)*Height = pi*R^2 * Height
When R is tripled, the volume will be 3^2 = 9 times
So the volume be of the new cylinder = 9*250 cm3 = 2250 cm3
