a boat traveled 160 miles downstream and back. the trip downstream took 4 hours. the trip back took 8 hours. find the speed of the boat in still water and the speed of the current.

current speed = 10
boat speed =x, current speed = y
x + y = 160/4 = 40
x-y = 160/8 = 20
x+y = 40
x - y = 20
